Which one fits
Choose the one built for the team you have.
The KMT Stack is the better fit if
- You have one marketer or a small team, and no budget for an administrator, a partner or a support retainer.
- You want website analytics, marketing automation and a CRM in one system, from a first visit to a closed deal.
- You want one price that stays the same as your list and your team grow.
- You want your data on its own instance in Europe, never used to train AI.
Salesforce is the better fit if
- You are building a large or complex sales team that needs territories, forecasting, quoting and approvals.
- You rely on Salesforce’s app marketplace and its partner ecosystem.
- You already run Salesforce, or you employ an administrator who does.
- You only need a CRM with basic email. Salesforce’s Starter Suite, at $25 per user per month, costs less than either platform at the level compared here.
Who you need to hire
The cost of making Salesforce work.
Salesforce can actually do everything it claims to do. The problem is that most companies don’t have the staff, the business processes, the technical know-how or the money to set it up so they can take advantage of it.
Salesforce is a very powerful and complex CRM ecosystem built for companies that staff it accordingly. Setting it up usually means a certified partner. Keeping it running usually means an administrator, a support retainer, or someone on your team learning Salesforce instead of doing marketing.
The KMT Stack was built to remove that cost. The setup is part of the product and the launch. Grep answers your marketer’s how-do-I questions on the screen they are on and drafts the work when they ask. For the first 90 days, a senior marketing technologist works alongside them. After that, your marketer runs it, with nobody else to hire.
What that help costs elsewhere

What you pay each year, with the one-time setup in year one, before any administrator or support retainer. The KMT Stack costs about $32,800 less in the first year and about $22,800 less every year after that.

One marketer and four salespeople, so five Salesforce users (Salesforce recommends a CRM licence for everyone who uses Account Engagement), and 10,000 contacts, held flat. Salesforce: Sales Cloud Core, Account Engagement Growth+ and the Agentforce for Sales add-on at list prices on annual contracts ($2,850 a month), plus partner setup at the low end of published ranges ($20,000) in year one. KMT Stack: the $5,000 launch, three months of guided operation ($6,000) and $950 a month. Both at today’s prices, although Salesforce’s core sales edition has risen from $150 to $195 per user per month since 2023. Ongoing partner support or an administrator is not included on either side. We know Salesforce
We have worked in it for years.
KMT’s founder has used Salesforce for many years, and KMT has moved a company off Salesforce’s marketing automation onto a platform its team could run. Read how that went. Salesforce is the right choice for some companies. The KMT Stack exists for the ones that cannot staff it.
Questions owners ask
What is the KMT Stack?
The KMT Stack, from Keystone Marketing Technology, is one connected marketing and sales system (web analytics, marketing automation and CRM) with Grep, an AI assistant that amplifies your marketing and sales teams, for one flat monthly price. Your team signs into one place. KMT sets it up with you, and your marketer runs it with Grep, with a senior marketing technologist alongside for the first 90 days. See the KMT Stack.
Do we need to hire a specialist to run the KMT Stack?
No. The KMT Stack is software your team signs into and uses. Your marketer runs it with Grep, which drafts the work and answers how-do-I questions, and for the first 90 days a senior marketing technologist works alongside them. There is no administrator, agency or IT person to add.
Is Salesforce cheaper?
No. To get what the KMT Stack includes, a CRM, marketing automation and an AI assistant for your whole team, Salesforce costs about $2,850 a month for a team of five with 10,000 contacts, before a partner sets it up, and that still leaves out website analytics. The KMT Stack is $950 a month, everyone included. Every user you add costs about $320 a month more on Salesforce and nothing more on the KMT Stack.
Can we keep Salesforce for sales?
Yes. If your sales team works in Sales Cloud, Salesforce’s CRM (sold since September 2026 as the Core, Advanced and Max editions), it can stay and sync with the KMT Stack, so the leads your marketing brings in land there. Grep cannot see inside Salesforce, so its reporting on deals needs that data synced back into the KMT Stack.
Is Agentforce included in Salesforce?
Partly. Sales Cloud Core includes Agentforce credits worth $2,500 a year at list price. Every action an agent takes uses credits, and unused credits expire. Unmetered use for your team is an add-on, from $125 per user per month. Grep is included in the KMT Stack’s monthly price, with an allowance that pauses rather than bills. We recommend looking up Agentforce’s current pricing for your own needs.
We have one marketer. Is the KMT Stack too much for them?
No. It is built for exactly that: a small team, often one person who does all the marketing. Grep drafts the work and answers how-do-I questions on the screen they are on, and for the first 90 days a senior marketing technologist builds the first automated follow-ups with them.
We use Salesforce’s marketing tools today. What moves across?
Your contacts come across with their company links, and your forms are rebuilt in the platform and put on your website. The platform is usually live within the first week, and your team learns it over the first 90 days by doing the work alongside us.
